...and Nottingham, on the Sunday after Easter. Trains from London are currently £24 return - I've entered!

But the train is only of use if they'll extend the start times beyond noon (to 1pm). First train from London gets in at 11.52 and I would guess that travel from elsewhere is also awkward on a Sunday a.m. Same applies to Ripon but that's worth an overnight stay.

I often get caught out at urban events believing that paved areas can be run across at a diagonal - not the case when it's Sainsbury's carpark on a Saturday.

I reckon you could have a awesome sprint race (ie 15min winning time) staying out of the town centre and just using those housing estates.

I know there's not many of us urban orienteers (yet) but how about a sprint relay round those council estates. Head-to-head racing with gaffling in the narrow roads and alleyways- would need a very cool head under pressure!

Hello all,
Just to let you know that I've now got Splitsbrowser and Routegadget set up with the Huntingdon results. Sorry it took a while - the OE2003 software didn't void the crossing point legs properly for some dibbers which caused a mess in the CSV export. Hopefully I've now got this fixed but please let me know if you see anything awry.

Route display on Route Gadget is fine. However, View Animation (to see the little blobs race each other around the course) only works as far as the first time-out.

Ah! Thanks. That's a divide-by-zero error on Routegadget's part. I've just tweaked your first crossing split to be a 1 second rather than zero seconds. You now go over the crossing but stop on the way back!

I will have to refix all the splits later today.

Not at all - change on the train, jog to the start (1km), drop your bag off at the finish line and grab the last start! (Well that's what I'm doing anyway.) It's almost if they'd timed it to make it a challenge.

Should be a top race -both GG and OJ entered (I don't think I'll be repeating getting 91 points for the league like I did at Huntingdon.)

I've now entered Nottingham and splashed out for first class train each way at a total of £35 from London. I have warned the organiser I will be slightly late for the last start time as I can't do 8mins/k sprinting even if Angry Haggis can do that for his warm-up jogging but might manage 11or 12 mins/k - they've indicated they will wait a little - I hope train is on time
