Interestingly the FRA have a motion to discuss at this years AGM in relation to mountain marathon events:

I'm not sure how this will exactly relate to say the OMM or LAMM, but from my reading suggests that juniors will no longer be able to run with their friends in FRA sanctioned MM events. (does this include the phoenix long O?) which seems like a shame.

Juniors (under 18 ) were not allowed to run at this years Phoenix (although they offered an orienteering event of similar distance which was OK!). There were no such restrictions for the OMM. Not sure if it runs under FRA regs?

5th KIMM (OMM), had a bad cold the last 2 weeks, starting to feel a little bit better, just hope this week picks up otherwise it will be a struggle next weekend. Think I will still be hurting at Oxford!

Tradition has it that rains heavily before each Galloway KIMM ensuring all rivers are in spate. I've heard that all the sheep have been taken off the area now and it's even rougher (which seems impossible from my memories of 1996!)

I'll be out there on the long score, trying to keep up with my partner...
The weather does look like it could be interesting! Maybe taking the lightest possible equipment might not be the best idea this time.

Any short scorers? Apparently dad said we're not aloud to win the family prize this year 'cos we got it last year... so looks like we need a top 11/mix win if i want anything
Unlikely though having had my knee eaten by the rubbish wood from Twin Peaks
I'll still try though
see you all there (And any Shuocers - I am sooo not going to circuits that monday, or today in fact!)

Jealous that you are all running - it would have been my 8th KIMM/OMM but injury prevents participation. I have however offered to help so should see some orienteers out there.
The plaster is off and I am hobbling around with a stick in case you wondered.

Anyone want to give me odds on the overall winners of the elite being a mixed pair this year?
