In that case, isn't it rather strange that by default you enter as an individual and will be made into a team by the organisers?

If you wish to nominate your team mates for the event, please include the name, age class, and club of each runner in the box supplied, a team name, and the class in which you wish to compete. All 3 or 4 team members need to be in the class range defined for a course (or be running up), to be considered competitive in that race. If you do not have a preferred set of team mates, we will make up teams on your behalf. The basis of how the teams are to be allocated has yet to be determined.
