In addition to the friendly banter on Nopesport I have arranged that a short questionnaire will be emailed out from BOF via SportIdent. Please take time to fill this in - the feedback is very useful and helps with future funding and acceptance of events by various bodies such as Councils. There are a few questions about the races and opportunities to add comment.
I really enjoyed the whole thing - absolutely true.

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
The questionnaire is now live with links from the BOF website and you should receive an email through SportIdent as well. As I am not party to the latter and don't think it would be sensible to fill out the form myself can I have some feedback please as to how things go and what you think about the questions and the way the form was put together? I was out on a bit of a limb here but had some helpful input from Paul Frost and Lynne.

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
For Q8 "Other" is not permitted as a valid answer.

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
Freefall,
I have completed the form; moreover, please pass on my thanks to all involved for putting on a great event.
With regard to the survey, I think more free text boxes to go into detail on the good and the not quite so good would have been better for me.
Overall, well worth the trains, planes and automobiles required to get to JK2012.

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
Freefall - I too completed the 'other' box for Q8 only to be told that I had to give an answer to that question!
Also, after answering No & Not at all to Q17 & 18 about internet access during JK I left Q19 empty (how had I accessed internet). Only to be told that I had to give an answer to this question! There is no option for no access.
Is there ant chance that these questions can be adjusted?

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
As others have inferred, quite a few of the questions would have benefited from a "not applicable" box
Thanks for a great event.

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
Not bothered about the quality of the maps then?
Well, I guess we already knew that.
Seriously though, that was such a bad survey.

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
We (through BOF) will try and address these things. Hopefully adjustments can be made. Many of the questions are aimed at providing the feedback from the economic benefits point of view - that's how we get additional funding into the sport. I agree it was light on some technical aspects but of course that's what Nopesport is all about. Would be pleased to have more detailed input from Mharky as to how he thinks the questionnaire should have been structured and what it asks. I was sort of busy on other things when I needed to put this together....

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
Sadly I can no longer access the survey as I have already completed it, so detailed input is not available at this current time.
However, if the SOA or BOF are willing to pay me, like they do their professional officer and events managers, then I'm sure I could help them on how to construct a survey.

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
Is the SOA Professional Officer paid to write surveys? It seemed a good idea at the time. The questionnaire put out at the last two Scottish 6 Days cost £3,000 a pop and I am not convinced that the difference between my effort and their's was so different. Oh well, cannot win them all.

Re: JK2012 Questionnaire
OK, here's some for free.
What if the person filling out the survey didn't do their entry?
What if they did do the entry but didn't get any of the extras?
What if they stayed in more than one type of accommodation?
What if you simply don't want to answer a question?
What if you think there is more to the technical aspect of an event than the planning, assembly and terrain?

what if the person filling out the survey didn't pay for all the costs so can't fill them in?
what if the person filling out the survey didn't go anywhere else in Scotland? (I put Asda)
