Where has the post gone?
There was nothing obscene in it and therefore Free Speech should be the over-riding factor.
The post was thought provoking and challenging.

May I, in the interests of freedom of information, ask what this thread is referring to?

Re: Moderators...
The way I feel about the actions of a moderator on the board over this issue it could result in my "death" here.
A controversial but reasonable debate was quashed before it got going apparently for political reasons.
While I'm not in favour of anonymous posts (because that invites trolls) orienteeringUK attempted to make valid points about the international selection policy and his/her/their right to free speech seems to have been violated TWICE.
On another thread we discussed the alienation of younger orienteers from this board perhaps this is another example of why.
I suggest they resubmit the original post or a modified version of it.

Hmm, not sure about the ethics of the moderators revealing the identity of an anonymous poster without (I assume) his permission.

Re: Moderators...
With no real knowledge other than the previous posts of Mark it doesn't feel typical of him as he's never been afraid to put himself in the firing line.
As eddie is using the IP address as the reference it is possible that others are posting through the same server.
Anyway IMHO (and I've pm'd him to that effect) eddie has done the correct thing by reinstating the post

Re: Moderators...
Dear Edward Nicholas,
I am fully aware that the spreadsheet which I put up a link to is NOT a BOF document. It is a spreadsheet that I compiled myself using the publicly available results that I sourced from the UK Cup database. As you will notice, I have spelled Rachael Elders name incorrectly, have included non-British athletes (Grace Crane and Riina Kuuselo), used shortened versions of many peoples names and my own coloring system. As a BOF employee you may wish to have a look between the version I created and put on the internet and the version which BOF produced.
Before you make slanderous false accusations which imply I have stolen and illegally distributed private BOF documents, you may wish to check if that is the case. If you so wish I can supply you with my file which you can interrogate to determine its provenance, but I can assure you the document is mine, created by me, using freely available results.
On your second point, I find it highly contentious that you remove the post because I have made an assumption that I clearly indicate is an assumption. I never once implied that what I said was a fact. However, my assumption was based on this publicly available statement by Matt Crane on Attackpoint "I don't think I've fully come to terms with what happened, but it was an embarrassing way to end my WOC career", and the fact that both athletes clearly make the Performance Squad selection criteria yet haven't been selected, the only plausible reason for this is that they have retired, rather than BOF think that they are not of the required ability. So, I have substantiated by assumptions.
You have not substantiated you claims that I have stolen a BOF document. I shall be contacting Mike Hamilton to make a formal complaint about this accusation.

From the Nopesport terms and conditions page: " As a user you agree to any information you have entered to being stored in a database. While this information will not be disclosed to any third party without your consent"
Clearly my rights have been severely violated.

@orienteeringUK you should have posted going through a proxy (https://www.torproject.org/) if you wanted to stay fully anonymous.
Personally, I only moderate spam posts, as it should be.
