Edinburgh University Big Weekend 2012
Does anyone know what bracket start times are going to be in for the urban race. Trying to book trains up whilst they're cheap.

No but on a similar note I tried to enter but the Age categories for the SOSOL on Sunday dont seem to correspond to any courses eg the proposed "new" courses. Anyone shed any light on that while you are at it?

Re: EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY BURNS WEEKEND 2011
The East of Scotland Championships are not (usually) a SoSOL so that the course/age class combinations don't have to change the course you would run at a SoSOL.
At SoSOLs (South of Scotland Orienteering League) you are free to run any course you like and will have points calculated for you ( and if you are lucky, a certificate printed).

Re: EDINBURGH UNIVERSITY BURNS WEEKEND 2011
I meant the SOSoL on Sunday of the EUOC big weekend SiMan!
It promises exciting new mass start courses, which sound good - I have bad memories of Arthurs seat so not that enthused about a blue or brown course again, but when you enter the only choice is age category?!
Hoping someone can clarify this before I enter.

Sorry, I misunderstood you.
I have just looked at Oentries for Big Weekend and I think some tweaking is necessary. I would caution against any entries for the next few days.

Thanks to the Mod who has created the new thread and moved the messages
The entry system has been disabled until it is sorted out, hopefully by the weekend.

As far as I am aware we are pretty much ready to go live with entries. Should be within the next couple of days.

Re: Edinburgh University Big Weekend 2012
entries seem to be open...but then the system fails at the last moment
really looking forward to it (and hoping I'm running again by then).
who's planning? IMHO Jegor's courses last year were brilliant - contender for best of the year
One minor plea - the overprint colour on last year's map was very difficult to see, and the "olive" green was much too bright - hope it can be rectified this year (although it was nice to get the map at 1:5000 rather than the usual 1:5200

Yes, I've emailed them about it - they're aware and are working on it currently, they tell me, and it should be fixed by the weekend.....

I don't know about the EUOC page, but the Oentries page is finally up and running. You will be pleased to know that the problem causing last delay, including discounts for full price entries to both events, has been solved.
See you in Edinburgh!
