JK 2011 - Irish Ferries - Discounted Fares

Irish Ferries have offered fixed price fares for JK 2011 for the period 19 April to 5 May 2011 on their Irish Sea crossings Holyhead – Dublin and Pembroke – Rosslare. Any queries should be sent to info@jk2011.org.uk The explanation is longer than we'd have liked:

Cars. The return fares are available from info@jk2011.org.uk

All prices are based on a minimum of 10 confirmed vehicles travelling and are
valid for travel on daytime cruise ferry services (subject to availability).

For less than 10 confirmed vehicles, there is a discount of 10% off retail fares.

Vans. A 10% discount off retail fares.

Booking requests. JK competitors should send their travel requirements to clubdeals@irishferries.com

Conditions. The following conditions would apply once the bookings are confirmed:

Amendments: A £10.00 per leg amendment fee applies to all changes to routes, dates or sailing times and this would be in addition to any price increase

Cancellations: After bookings have been confirmed, a 100% cancellation charge would apply (non refundable fare)

Refunds: Where bookings are amended and the total price of the new fare is lower than the original fare, no refunds will be given.

No refunds will be given on any booking after travel has commenced.

No refunds will be given on any unused portion of your ticket.

Thank you JK2011 - I would say that was an exceptionally good offer.

Do you think it is worth me asking if my particular requirements could be included in the offer as due to the vagaries of the school Easter holidays next year we were hoping to travel out the week before the offer begins (with our lovely little caravan)?

Will they still do the deal if you take one route out (eg Stranraer-Belfast) and another (Dublin-Hollyhead) back?

Thanks - we'll follow up with Stena as they have Belfast and Dublin routes.

On the basis of your post, we've also contact the Liverpool ferry which serves both Belfast and Dublin with overnight options which might suit Day 1 of the JK (depart Thu ni arriving Fri morning in the centre of Belfast in great shape for the Sprint) and either Day 4 after the relays or after the Irish Champs for those staying on.

Irish Ferries only cover the routes mentioned plus some to France - they don't have any into Belfast.

Any Tesco shoppers who collect Clubcard points and hence vouchers can use these for 4x their face value with both Stena and Irish Ferries which can make your trip quite cheap, I'd suspect you won't be able to use them with these JK deals.

Any chance you could contact pandoirish sea as well http://www.poirishsea.com/ as they do troon/cairnryan to larne (as well as liverpool dublin) which is handy for "scottish" folk.

We're going with them this weekend for £28 (plus £50 of tesco clubcard points) for a family of 4.

I doubt however we could use both offers for the one trip next easter, but one could always ask!!!

Right, I've got £8 of Tesco vouchers to spend (wow). Just arrived today. Irish Ferries for me, I think.

Tried to book P&O using Troon to Larne with Tescos vouchers.

Online booking would not accept the Tescos promotional code.

Emailed them to be told that Tesco bookings are only done over the phone (10p per minute)

Phoned P&O. Found out that they are not taking Tescos voucher booking for April 2011 because they are still in negotiations with them. They hope to have reached an agreement by the end of November, which doesn't give much time before the 4X deadline.

Not sure if I should wait or use the clubcard points towards accomodation for the British.
