Hi all,
Vaclav Potesil (OUOC) is looking for an entry on the Men's Open course for the Cambridge city race. Is there anyone entered who will not be able to use their entry and who would be willing to sell their entry to Vaclav? If you can help, please email me on blanka AT drongo.org.uk.
Thanks,
Blanka

I've sent you a PM with details of a spare entry - now that I have sorted out Vaclav's I don't really need a second spare entry!

Does anyone else have an entry to the Cambridge City Race they do not require?
Blanka, if you have another spare entry I would be interested....

GG sorted himself out so an offer from Matthew Lyle of an entry is presumably still open. Find his email on the OUOC website (I've just tried PM'ing you but the message just stayed in the Outbox rather than being Sent).

PMs always stay in your outbox until the recipient actually reads them.

I think the question for you might be "When is he going to pass me?" Not " Is he going to pass me?" -on the other hand glory awaits......
Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

I'm already considering a sweepstake on how many minutes until I see him.
at least it'll be over 1 - that's guaranteed!

unless you somehow crock yourself and get stricken with rigamortis just as you start and fall backwards, with which gg will overtake you when stepping over the line after 50s
maybe you're theory is more likely though...

What you need is crushed diamond juice (now that really is going back in nope history) if you drink it you can travel faster than the speed of light (ie back in time)

Have to admit to being happy to see GG was starting a few minutes in front of me - gives me a chance to chase him down

Re: Cambridge City Race entry
Now that the event is over, just wanted to say thank you to CUOC for a great event. Well done for persevering despite the snow earlier in the year and for getting it off the ground after the original cancellation.
After 4 years in Cambridge it was fun to see it from a running perspective and control 8 and 9 on the women's course were about 20 metres from my 1st and 4th year rooms in college... It looks like there is plenty more scope to have other events on the same map if access to different colleges can be gained, so look forward to doing another Cambridge city race in future.
Well done!
