Re: Orienteering on radio?
When I was in in Venice for the street event last year I saw three canoeists wandering along a canal each with a map just in front of them - whether they were orienteering I didn't stop to ask!

There is to be a Canoe Sprint O' in Edinburgh this Saturday
The event will be held on Mark Nixon's ISSOM map of The Meadows - or The Ponds as they have now been re-named.

The BBC are doing a similar (perhaps a little more serious) online discussion. I'll write a story comment and/or email (to mygames@bbc.co.uk) in favour of orienteering if I have time this evening, but as always I figure that the more responses we get in the better. It's all good publicity...

Re: Orienteering on radio?
Somebody (not sure who - don't have access to iPlayer or play again here) managed to get the relay gold mentioned on 5live this morning during a discussion on why we only care about minority sports once every 4 years (and then only some minority sports!) Was about 9:25 if anybody wants to go and check - they had a very good suggestion about a weekly minority sports roundup.
