I mixed Brimham and Yateholm up thinking Brimham was cancelled, so did not get a pre-netry at Brimham. Would not wish the EOD system at Brimham on anybody. Ran out of Dibbers, maps for the longer course soon ran out resulting in a cascade downwards with virtually all courses running out.

Pre-entry is clearly the right way! Although only a £1 cheaper at Brimham for a family of 5 runners! I accept my mistake and take the consequences of my own ineptitude.

It is the Sheffield Adventure Film Festival this coming weekend at the Showroom cinema in Sheffield (near the station) and there is a free orienteering score event (with treasure hunt type questions I'm afraid) which Decathlon will be running from their stand in the cinema. Participation is limited to 100 (as that's how many maps are printed!) so it might be worth coming Sat am if you fancy it and catching a film or two afterwards. The map is sprint specification by Oli Johnson 2007 with some updates 2008. If you get all the answers Decathlon will put you into a prize draw for a GPS watch and some tents. I can't promise it will be well organised on the weekend as I'm not sure how well Decathlon know the sport!?!
