Good on you Becks for making such a positive move to help develop the elite ranks, what a good idea to bring in regional squads at an elite level as well as junior.

The SHIs seem a great way to give a larger group of elites something to race for (other than the small handlful who can compete overall in the UK Cup) could this idea be expanded to include an inter-regional teams competition in conjunction with the UK Cup? That way the second tier of Elites can make a real difference to their team by turning up and racing well at the top domestic elite races.
