I have heard from home, that the Teme was at a lifetime high - for my parents lifetime that is. For folks that know the river, it is usually of little threat with deep banks, but this is something else. On our old farm, there was fast flowing water where no living person has seen water before.
Meanwhile the bridge in Ludlow was taken out by the Corve, a river that traditionally trashes the north end of town, but is largely tamed by flood defences now. This is an exceptional event.

Very much so I've lived in these parts for 25 years and the floods are worse than I can remember. Just waiting for them to hit Tewkesbury where I used to live that has been cut off before and I suspect will be this time. I gather Sheffield is pretty rough too.
Diets and fitness are no good if you can't read the map.
