Does anyone know how much a ticket costs from Göteborg to Stockholm (for the X2000).
If you don't know, don't reply. And don't tell me to visit resplus either.

Depends when you want to travel Mharky. An adult just nu 2nd class single for travel in the middle of August is currently 95 SEK. (At the moment booking is only available up until 19th August). A just nu single for tomorrow seems to be about 1,000 or 1,100 SEK max.
Time of travel possibly affects price as well if it's not a long way away.
Edit: aye, cheaper if you get a fancypants youth discount

Obviously depends when you're planning to travel, if you are eligible for a youth ticket (under 26) and if you buy your ticket ahead of your trip but taking a quick look at SJ's website gives a price of about 550-600 SEK for a standard "just nu" ticket (the cheaper advance tickets). A ticket for immediate travel will cost more than that. Another quick look gives 900 SEK for a youth ticket, 2nd class, unbooked.
Mind, you can get across on the slower trains for 95 SEK.
Hope this helps.

You can also look up train timetables and prices all around Europe on the German Railways site:
