Lard,
Are we reading the same thing? I seemed to have missed something you've read.
As far as I can see:
"The Final - the best 15 qualifiers from each of the four classes: M & W 18 and M & W 20 will be eligible to compete in the Final providing they have 3 scores (or 2 if 2/7 qualifying races are lost). "
Surely that means chasing up and down the country is indeed what is required??

Oh, thanks for clarifying Doug.
I still don't think selectors will look outside the FCC 15 for JWOC selection though.
And what about that favourite of selectors' phrases 'all known form may be considered'. When they include it, which I assume they will this year following the previous ambiguity, this presumably will make the other FCC races important.
I made the mistake before of taking literally the phrase 'selection for the EYOC will be based on performance at the FCC finals', when in fact the selections were made based on other non-specified criteria (namely the other FCC races).
So traversing the country I guess it will be.

i have to disagree with you based on this years evidence!
the long and the short of it is if you want to get picked you have to go out there and prove you are worthy. do that however you want, but the only way to gaurantee selection is to put yourself in a position where you can't not be selected.

Im not prepard to travel anymore, i need to concentrate on a-levels. And anyway, there are better orienteers than me who deserve to go half way around the world to show they are britains finest juniors.
