Hello from a very hot and sunny O-ringen!

If you are interested ...

Day 1 started out, for the longer courses, in a very rocky and technical area - with a lot of people making mistakes.

The star of the day though is Hollie Orr - here with the Scottish Junior Squad - who won D18L by just over a minute. A fabulous result - well done! She got an axe as a prize! :?

A few years back Elizabeth Brown won all 5 days in D80 (I think). She also won an axe... a few litres of drain cleaning fluid... a floor rug ... and so on :)

Ray Ward was first yesterday on the Vasaloppet class .... go RAY!! He is 7 seconds down on the overall leader after today. Mass start for him on Thursday with some of the Super Elites running that too.

Weather is very hot .... blisters galore!

Oo Reese 'the chocolate chew' Finley-Robinson is performing well, considering hes sat on his ass in Wales recovering from being poisoned by Latvian pate. And I can spell more than 1 out of 3 of my names.

She's following in the footsteps of a lad called Jamie Stevenson, he won H18L at the O-ringen in Halland in 1993......wonder whatever happened to him?

When I was in the "food court" one evening, they were showing a video of that day's event, and it said that a DVD covering all the days would be available. Can anyone remember the URL of the company, please - I can't find it on the O-Ringen web site.

no, sorry, but if you find out how to get a copy, could you post the details on here please. I'd like to get one if they are selling them.
Half of the course is steeply uphill, the other half is steeply downhill, so on average it's perfectly flat.
