It was an excellent event, well planned and very well organised.
Together with the full E. European works at the opening ceremony. Children in national dress fainting in the heat, speeches, folk dancing, yet more speeches - the lot.
Probably as strong a field for the European Champs as we've had, just missing the Swedes, and the results show competitors very tightly packed together. One mistake dropped you an awful lot of places.
