Kitch > totally agree. Medals are not a wild dream for most british team runners which is fantastic, and a great development over the last 6 or 7 years.
Göran Andersson should get a fair bit of credit for this, along with Big Jon and Dave Peel.
Its a good point you make about the 'Simone influence'. Its certainly had an impact. Jenny Johansson, probably the next best after Simone, has worked really hard on her running ability the last few years. Jenny is a supreme technical orienteer but she knew if she wanted to have a chance against Simone she'd have to be much more of an athlete. It works. Sometimes it takes an outstanding talent to raise everyone elses game.....
