BOF Website says National Event at Whitbarrow possibly cancelled.
Hopefully we will get something more definate soon.
How does that leave the FCC if the weekends events are cancelled and competitors now do not get to enough events. Will it become best three to count?

Have looked at 2 weather websites who both say dry and 5-8ish degrees during the day for Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Fingers crossed.
Klebe/G - if the JOK event is cancelled, come to Black Beck instead

From the SROC National Event organisers: a decision will be made at around lunchtime on Friday whether to go ahead. This also applies to the JOK sprint. Details will be posted to the SROC website as soon as possible after the decision, also on this forum and probably on the BOF website as well.
The problem is not what the forecast weather is for Sunday, rather the amount of snow lying on the competition area and the car park. Safety considerations dictate that the event cannot go ahead if there is any appreciable quantity of snow remaining. The car park fields are on limestone so are normally dry, but if the snow is only just melting over the weekend they will be unusable.
It's mid March, it should be nearly Spring!

A lot of us understand that Zokko - unfotunately some of these testosterone fired youngsters have never lived through a proper winter and think if the sun comes out it'll be OK.

perhaps I underestimated the amount of snow http://www.sroc.org/menu2/2006/mar/150306.htm

From skiing experience in the alps when the snow looks like it's about done for the year in March it always has a couple of big dumps to help out. No doubt a meteorologist can say but probably something to do with warmer spring air hitting colder blah blah.
Hope it goes ahead but understand if it doesn't.
