WCOC held their annual Spook-O (Hallowe'en special) last Thursday, on the one dry day in a week of rain. A few photos on http://www.wcoc.org.uk Make sure you have the sound on!
Eleven control sites were dressed up on a 2km walk around forest paths. About 180 kids and parents turned out, with most of them in costume as well!
Do any other clubs put on a theme event like this? They are great fun and a great promotion opportunity. We advertise widely amongst our school links.

I went to this year's AIRE Vampire-O. Not only was the event well organised, but so was the gaggle of vampire children clustering around the safe zone with one minute to go till the end of the race, ready to grab the control card from any poor old soul who'd spent the previous 44 minutes in the rain and dark.
Bitter, me?
