If you are heading to the Lakes for the British Championships weekend, why not stay there and enter the Northern Championships the following weekend, Knipe Scar on the Saturday and then the Northern Championship races on Angle Tarn Pikes on the Sunday.
Also, on the weekdays between there are 3 events to choose from, High Rigg (an excellent fellside near Keswick) on 15th May, swiftly following by an urban event in Keswick on the Friday night (entry includes a ticket to the Keswick Mountain Festival on Friday night, worth £30).
If you want to pick when you want to run, you could go to the Border Liners Penrith MapRun anytime between 12th and 16th May.

Re: Northern Championships
If you enjoyed today's British Champs in Grizedale like I did but fancy a contrast, get your entry in for the Northern Champs on Angle Tarn.
Unlike Grizedale, Angle Tarn has only 1 tree on it, a rather nice Rowan, so we guarantee you'll be able to move in an upright position!
Long range forecast looks good.
Entries close tomorrow, 11th May
