Well this cheered me up no end when I was feeling a bit down!

My elder daughter just phoned up to say:' Did I go to the JK last year?"
I said "No - you haven't been for years, why?"
She said " 'cos BOF keep emailing me and asking for the trophy back!"
I said:"I think we have an Interloper in our midst!"

The JK Relay champs tell me it's OK to forget the trophy as long as you win it back

I once drove home an extra 200 miles to pick a British Relays trophy I'd forgotten (not very)

Back in my "poor" days I hitch-hiked from Chesterfield to Leeds and back to return my M19 JK trophy, only to discover it was the one trophy that gets replenished every year!
It's much less hassle now I'm a punter.

I was never a W21! Started as W19 and then became W35 the year W21 was introduced

you went from "Intermediate (wo)man" to "Senior (wo)man" to D/H21
to W/M21. There are some youngsters who went from "Junior (wo)man" to
"Intermediate (wo)man"

Not W21 but W19. As Tatty says, W19 was the open W class (until at least the early 1980s.)

A couple of years ago one of our runners was National Veteran Cross country champion. She wasn't able to defend the title the next year, because she was too young
