Highland Wolf weekend

Just wanted to say we'd a really enjoyable weekend in Kingussie at the Highland Wolf weekend. We missed the Middle distance race on Saturday morning at Dunachtonmore but the sprint race (btoSOUL8) in Kingussie on Sat afternoon was great fun and very well planned making good use of the relatively limited size of the map. Loved the long leg on course 1. The SEDS ceilidh was fantastic fun too - not too sure about that helicopter thingy though - Health and Safety issue . Just as well I had a note from the doctor...

Todays SOL 6 at Alvie was another tough typically Scottish race following on from Craig a barns a couple of weeks back and certainly tested the stamina.
Rumour has it that this event is on the agenda for next year again - 3rd/4th Oct 2015 - put this in your diaries and make it your first visit back to Scotland after you've caught the WOC 2015 bug!

The date for next year's Highland Wolf is very likely to change to the first weekend in September, the final approval is expected very soon.
There are a number of reasons for the change, including clashes with the VHI's, October Odyssey and the need to be able to integrate the Scottish Junior Inter Area competition.

I'll report back here when it's been agreed, you can then add it into your diary.

I can now confirm that the Highland WOLF 2015 will be 5-6th September.
It will also include the Scottish Junior Inter-Area competition.
