CompassSportCup / Collecting maps
I dont know if its a rule, or refers to All compasssport cup matches tomorrow - but why oh why must 'Maps be collected at the finish'?? I know i am not going to show anyone -(its not to my advantage, tho admit its a club competition and other club members may), But old maps are available to bring along, the clubs website even have a copy of the map on show - so its easy enough to show someone the course using that! Pointless as Alexander Armstrong would say!

Showing someone the course on an old version of the map is still against the spirit of the rules.

Final details for the CHIG event tomorrow say "YOUR MAP WILL NOT BE COLLECTED IN WHEN YOU FINISH. YOU ARE TRUSTED NOT TO SHOW YOUR MAP TO ANYONE WHO HAS YET TO START.".
I'll just be grateful to finish before most people have gone home.

Refreshing attitude from CHIG. Collection of maps is a bit annoying if you start early in order to leave early then the map generally doesn't find its way back to you.
