Emit back-up cards

Discussion of the merits of an Emit back-up card in saving you from disqualification is moot if, as is too often the case in my experience, the back-up card falls off during your run.

I particularly remember an occasion when my backup card fell off and blew away almost as soon as I crossed the start line. Since it was a reverse chasing start sprint race, stopping to go and get it seemed like a waste of time...

Simple - just get rid of EMIT! Within the family we have been the victims of dead batteries at the start line and multiple mis-punches when a brikkie hasn't registered, so we would be happy to see the back of EMIT bricks for good!

Try a couple of tiny bits of plastic tape - one on each side - to stop it blowing away.

I've had hire emit brikkes on occasion where they were so bashed the backup card wouldnt go in in the first place.
