Hi
Just been watching the Men's Middle race. Lot's of following, or at least teamwork!
Can anyone explain Martin Hubmann's route to me? I think he is very fast but not very accurate?
Also, was the loch dried up, as a number seem to have gone straight across it.

Re: Euromeeting GPS Tracking
Teamwork is how you do well with a 1 min start interval. Excellent practice for WOC.

At the sprint he didn't always pick the shortest or best route* but still came out in front through sheer speed of execution.
* although his choices weren't as idiosyncratic as that of Sofia Haajanen on the way to #2 - one consolation of being old and crap is that i know no-one will ever ask me to wear a GPS

The intermittent spikes in his route are clearly wrong, so presumably his GPS receiver wasn't working correctly.
