The ascendancy

There is an ascendancy battle going on; the changing of the No 1 in women's orienteering. Just as Federer is ceding his greatness to Djokovic and Murray et al, so Tove Alexandersson is challenging Simone. Yesterday she beat Simone in the middle race of the Silva league and today is coming second to Simone. Tove has the exceptional speed and navigational accuracy at that speed of Simone.

Neither of them have raced Minna Kauppi yet this season though.
