Moray 2013 Preview

Moravian's last big event before the Scottish 6 days is at a superb newly re-mapped area near Fochabers called Sleepieshill.

A Moravian event on a great area is nothing new, but this one is a bit special. It coincides with the Castle Gordon Highland Games and Country Fair that afternoon, just 2 miles up the road.

The Duke of Gordon is a great supporter of local sport, having hosted a great 5K last winter. Were so lucky here in Moray to have landed gentry who like to engage with the local community (Lord Moray at Daraway and Sir Alastair Godron-Cumming South of Forres are others). I'd encorage anyone with half an eye for a good day out to come along.

Some exciting stuff is happening behind the scenes for Moray 2013 and you can expect a social programme, and engagement from the local community like you've never seen before! Keep an eye on the S6D web site and come and get in the mood for it all in Moray on 19th May.

As the forest has been recently sold it may be the last time as well as the first for many years that Sleepieshill will be used. I understand that it is a great deal more runnable than last time it was used.
