Yep, frequently have a chat about orienteering with her at training and always praising her father's exploits. Pleased to see her get the qualifying time for the World's, don't feel too bad I can't keep up with her in reps!

Couple more results from SLOWies
Evan Barlow - 2:59.18
Tom Cochrane - 2:59.68
and Ed Catmur managed to win the Llanelli marathon in 2:36.45 after his London entry went awry.
Good stuff!

Indeed, Mr Ross. A well-chuffed family. Her Mum and I covered a good few miles courtesy of London Underground and Oyster cards supporting Susan and her brother Colin (Lothian Runners - home to Graeme, Scott Fraser and a few other well-known orienteers).
Surely there is some form of orienteering involving the London Underground?

Re: LONDON MARATHON
What a pity the middles clashed with the marathon. As the smaller event it would have been good for it to be on another date. There again, we often clash events eg TioMila.

Interesting you say this, we had a post on the SLOW fb group recently about trying to visit all the tube stations in a day - I think the record is about 17 hours.
There's also been various ideas circulated about boris bike orienteering, though less since they expanded the area covered.

Re: LONDON MARATHON
a 12 hour London score involving bus, tram, tube, bike and boat (as well as feet) would be awesome!
