I have not used my version of OCAD 9 for a while but when I tried it yesterday I got an immediate error - "Error in installation (2)". I also have OCAD 8 on my pc, so I decided to delete OCAD 8 and OCAD 9 and re-install. OCAD does not appear in the "Add/Remove programs" in windows and there is no uninstall option so I just deleted the OCAD directories in Program Files.
Re-installed OCAD and still get the same message, any ideas?

Sounds like you've got errors in the Windows registry about the installation/uninstallation. Just deleting the program folders is very rarely a good way to uninstall!
I'd suggest a registry clean-up, then a fresh install of OCAD. I find CCleaner is a good registry cleaner/fixer (in Win XP, at least, and it says it supports Win 7 as well).

Re: OCAD error
I also have two "funnies" with my OCAD9 instalation
1) I get a eztw32.dll missing error if I try to open a map from either a folder or my desktop.
However... if I open OCAD9 first and then select the same map fron the open menu the map displays as you would expect.
2) If I print an OCAD9 map all that happens is that I print a blank page. So, if i want a printed map i either have to create a PDF file and print that, or I save the map as an OCAD7 file and print that.
Both solutions are OK to get me by, given my ocasional need to use OCAD ~ perhaps if the club upgraded to OCAD 10 it might overcome my problem. But I am not the Clubs prime mapper ~ my funnies are something i can live with.
i too am a XP user and I use cccleaner to clean my registries. My printer though is an old Dell inkjet that i have had for about 5 years. Prints OCAD 7 files with no problem. perhaps OCAD 9 requires a more up to date driver.
Being PC adequate rather than PC literate I tend to accept what I have (wharts and all) rather try to be too clever. Unless of course someone can recognise the problem and give me chapter and verse as to what needs to be done.
