UK CUP RELAYS
Very low entry numbers for these. 16 men and 3 women. Why not have a handicap class then clubs might enter 'older' teams?

I believe it's going to be 18 men/4 women, as there are some ShUOC teams not listed in the online entries. 18 men's teams isn't that bad - bigger than the open classes at the Scottish or the Harvester, and all the men's title contenders have teams entered. The women's entry is a bit disappointing, but then, there were only nine women's teams at the British Championship...

Why not enter "older" teams anyway? I'll be running in a team with two M50s. We're not going to win anything, but that doesn't stop it being fun.

Hadn't thought about it to be honest. Hadn't really heard about it either being in a predominantly 'old men's club'

Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough
Interlopers, current leaders, are fielding an M50 too...
That doesn't stop it being fun, but who's to say we're not going to win

Re: UK CUP RELAYS
Thanks to PFO for what proved to be a pretty competitive mens relay round a rather night Tockholes, probably the first time I've had to wash my map after getting home so I could see the course!
Men's race won by AIRE (Wood, Woodley, Nixon) in a sprint finish against SHUOC's Jimmy Crickmore with Duncan Coombs of FVO not far behind. Interlopers won the UK Relay Leagueafter a good performance from Rob Lee, Oleg Chepelin and Murray Strain.

Re: UK CUP RELAYS
A fantastic weekend - definitely a contender for best double-header of 2012. Despite the mud we were blessed with good weather, and there was a nice contrast between the two areas. The planning for the UK Cup Final courses today made great use of a superb new bit of terrain at Hameldon.
Huge thanks to all at PFO for putting it on

Re: UK CUP RELAYS
Was a bit of a shame there weren't more women. Both races were good but today's was excellent. Great bit of terrain and great planning. Thanks to all involved.
