You may be right. Of course it's possible to have "a day in common" without the events actually being in the same place, or of the same format. This week had a spectator urban sprint race in the morning, followed by a WOC forest race in the afternoon. The spectator races in Switzerland have had a shorter start window though (only 1800 people, not 5000).

Anyway, the WOC 2015 team (including the S6D team) can at least move plans forward now, and decide what the WOC/S6D week might look like in 2015.

Scheduling 5 days together was proving quite difficult. 3 days is definitely manageable and would be beneficial to both parties so that's what we'll be aiming for.

Anyway, the WOC 2015 team (including the S6D team) can at least move plans forward now, and decide what the WOC/S6D week might look like in 2015.

Was anything mentioned about WTOC 2015? I didn't notice it on the agenda.

BTW the previous IOF World Marathon Orienteering Trophy was done as a Foot-O discipline rather than a 5th discipline. In fact the results for it stayed in that section of the IOF website until the last restructuring, I wonder where they went.

No, it wasn't on the agenda, and therefore not discussed at GA. Nor did I hear any informal discussion about it.

Does anyone know how BOF voted on the changes?

We don't have to change our programme for 2015, but the new programme is close to what Italy wanted, its likely to change in 2014. So we'd better plan for the new one.

Forres, a likely sprint venue, is very close to Darnaway and Culbin, and so WOC and 6-day races could easily be combined with buses between the venues. Darnaway, Culbin and Glen Affric are all big enough to have two non-overlapping events run from the same assembly. I really hope they take the 5000 spectator option for 5000 WOC, not the 500 spectator one.
