I ,Andy Clarke ,apparently a 5* orienteer, do hereby pledge the following:
1) If I ever cross an uncrossable feature or enter OOB in ANY Race I will (when/if the trangression comes to my notice -even if I am the only one who knows) ask the organiser to disqualify me or otherwise remove me from the results.
2) If I am planner or controller of ANY event I will do my upmost to ensure that:
a) ALL OOB and uncrossable features are clearly identifable on the map and on the ground
b) that there is no advantage by crossing such a feature (within reason)
3) If I am an official at ANY event that all transgressors clearly identified as having passed OOB or crossed where forbidden is diqualified -whoever they may be (I accept that I may have to submit to the ruling of a Jury).
My only reason for failing to DQ would be Rule 20 (in which case time lost probably negates any need to DQ) and similar Health & Safety issues (e.g avoiding a dangerous dog)
