The prize giving for last year's competition will take place immediately after the prize giving at the British Sprint Champs on Saturday, which is due to start at 5.00 pm. Hopefully as many class winners as possible will be there.
My particular thanks to EddieH for compiling the results last year and continuing to do the same this year.
I hope the programme of events the now defunct Senior Competitions Group set up for you is providing a varied challenge in 2012.

And let's hope that the replacement committee/group is on the ball for the 2013 series - or will we need to create a Nopesport Masters Cup?

Re: CompassPoint UK Masters Cup 2011 prize giving
Focus just received suggests there are moves afoot to introduce one new all-embracing series in 2013 for all agegroups. The implication is this is intended to replace FCC, UK Cup and Masters Cup all in one. Will the format be what the punters want ? Has anyone been consulted ? Is this a badly-managed attempt to freeze out CompassPoint in a similar way to what was attempted with CompassSport ? Given there is no Events Committee/Group is this a Board decision / diktat ?
Or have I misunderstood ?

No - from what I saw and heard whilst on the Senior Competitions Group, I think that's a pretty fair summary.

At one point there was a Competitions Review in progress from which this has presumably come about. Does anyone know where the final version of the report can be found, as it doesn't appear to be on the BOF web site.

British Middle last year I started 1 min after Homer and 1 min before Quentin H - if what they do is called orienteering then the sport I do should have a completely different name

But you did the 'deep black' at the first Moray Mix Mike, and that was real classic distance elite stuff

Eddie,
whilst other Nopesporters have apparantly concluded I am a girlie lying wimp who is the wrong sort of person to comment on elite matters
I have been occasionally known to man-up and that deep black was one of 3 M21E classic races that I dragged my fat carcass round in 2009 (the other 2 being a State and National Champs downunder). I may even have to do more 21E long races now that Andypat has called me a girl
