It will be interesting to see how the chasing start goes as it may be a future WOC format.
There is a tightly packed field so I wonder if the planner has any tricks up his sleeve to break up the pack. Or will it be a 'hang on for the sprint finish' race?

Re: NORT chasing start final
Last year featured two map exchanges leading to four possible course variants which broke up following a bit, I would expect there to be something similar today.
Looking forward to seeing how all the guys still out there get on, and whether Olav can overhaul the Swiss for the 6000 Euro prize.

Well the route to #3 has certainly split them up.
Hubmann takes the slower route but Kyburz and Merz miss close to the circle - wonder who was leadin the way out of those 2?

Re: NORT chasing start final
It worked well as an event - better than I was expecting - but there only seemed to be two course variants so the butterfly didn't split them up very much. The planning was good though, with lots of path-or-straight choices to make, and it was good to see competitors taking a chance by opting to separate off from the people they were running with.
It took me a while to find the live TV feed http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/15608848 & http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/15609395
I noticed that most of the Brits chose not to take part.
