Many of you will know or have heard of Jean Ramsden (In the GBR WOC team 1976 to 1993) and her husband Alistair Cory-Wright (himself a New Zealand WOC runner).
The school that their daughter Katie attends is sufficiently affected by the Christchurch earthquake impact on its surrounds that the school buildings in their entirety need to be relocated to a different site before the school can reopen. As you can imagine, this does not come cheap!
At the British Championships tomorrow, there will be a collection (next to enquiries) so that anyone who wishes can donate towards the cost involved in rebuilding the school. Please give generously!
Alternatively, if you cannot be there tomorrow, please consider donating to the overall earthquake appeal at http://www.christchurchearthquakeappeal.govt.nz
Thank you!
