Stan is the Man.... can't be too many father / daughters competing at a WC in any sport?

Father + daughter debuting [debutting?] on the same day in a World Champs event is certainly pretty special, but there was another example of father + daughter at these World champs where Veteran Max Habernicht of Austria competed alongside both his son and his daughter. Father and son Andras and Klaus Csucs of Romania also competed together for a couple of years in the WSOC, but only Klaus was there this year.

Other family groups at this year's WSOC were:
Bulgaria: The featured family in the latest O-Zone where their top racer (unlucky to miss out on a top 5 in Long due to a mis-punch) was there with his father (waxman), sister and her husband. http://orienteering.org/wp-content/uplo ... 1-2011.pdf
Norway/Finland where husband and wife Eivind Tonna (NOR) and Hannele Tonna (FIN) both medalled in the relay.

Don't forget, of course, Adrian Jackson of Australia, World MTBO champion in 2004, 2008 and 2009, was joined by his mother Carolyn on the last occasion, when she competed in W21E.

Mother and daughter Pavlina and Viktoria Brautigam ran WOCs 2007/8/9. Mum did best every time!

Pavlina is an absolute legend. The last time we ran head to head was a 26.2km course where I was knackered, she scared off a bear that was apparently following me by yelling like crazy, then cruised past to kick my arse over the last km. She's great.
