Should Croeso clash with the Olympics next year?

If it is moved to the earlier week, it is the first week of the school holidays. It is much easier not to dash off away as soon as the kids break up. I would certainly prefer the dates to stay as advertised, but then I am not really interested in the Olympics. I would far rather be away doing something else - orienteering during that week is fine by me.

According to the BOF web fixtures list, you've moved it. The Croeso web site still has the old dates. Bit of a lack of co-ordination there! It would be nice to see a conclusion on this thread too.

The date is changing following a vote of the organising committee. That's offical.

Strong views both ways, but in the end a clear majority to change.

The key driver was changing circumstances at the University, which is being used for the event centre, accommodation and as an area for one day.

I'm not sure about travelling to Croeso (but the areas look cracking, having had a sneak preview of outlines when quoting to map), but whether it was clashing with the Olympics of not wouldn't affect my choice - I'm an active orienteer not an armchair athlete.
