Excellent result (not that I'm biased!) for Julia in the D20 Elite class at the Swedish Sprint Champs, only seconds down from other Swedish JWOC competitors and only 1min 25 down on winner!

pretty tight at the top of some of those results lists - 6 or so separated by 7 seconds on the H20, similar on the H18. At least there's no chance of dropping 10 places by missing the finish punch like this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1QIuN_vhcw

Yes Julia was talking to Beata Falk and she said that she much preferred sprint racing in the UK. She said Swedish sprint orienteering was boring and easy whereas she found UK sprint maps exciting, difficult and fun!

Spare a thought for the selectors of the WOC team following the sprint selection race at Erskine last night. 3 places up for grabs. 2 clear winners but for the women 11s separated 2nd to 5th, and if that wasnt tight enough, 3 men tied for 3rd place in their race. Its going to be a long night on Sunday for them I think!
Orienteering - its no walk in the park
