Planned my first 3 courses (string, White and Yellow) for a guide centenary camp, but was very upset for the organiser, who managed to get 210 guides and brownies to fit in during the two days, and also for the two groups of brownies who were not allowed to do take part. Inspite of all the excuses I think it boils down to the fact that the leader did not wish to take part. The brownies were all keen and could have done the course in the time it took me to encourage the leader them to let them go round the string course.
Argh.
On the other hand all the other groups enjoyed themselves and were very competitive, and was thrilled when one trio came back to do the yellow (instead of going to the nail bar) as they hadn't had time during the hour slot allocated!

Well Done.
The basic courses are very much the hardest to plan in most terrain if you are to avoid losing competitors.
Now did you manage to give them details of the next club events in the area?

Possibly the slowest Orienteer in the NE but maybe above average at 114kg

Re: Planners Rage
Last year a club member brought his Brownie Pack to one of our Summer series events in a local (generally pathless) park. They were split in to two and threes and, with a group of Brownie parents and helpers sweeping up behind, seemed to have a wonderful time. And yes , they were very competive, but in a happy sort of way.
