Interesting. I thought I'd have a look but can find no reference to RouteGadget from anywhere on the SOC website. In my experience putting it up over a week after an event results in almost nobody putting their route on, and if they are unaware of it this will become increasingly so.

I think that a link has now been added to SOC web site, but no harm in helping those that still want to add routes.

Excellent news - well done SOC for joining Routegadget. 22 routes already added! There is another advantage. As I ran the Blue course, my map did not cover the whole mapped area. As a keen New Forest walker, I have found it very useful to have O-maps with me on my walks. I can now extend the area that I have covered by using the extra bits available on Routegadget. Many thanks.

I hate that - Missing some of the map, either through a cut down or the descriptions plastered over it. Route gadget is very handy there.

As for Bryn Engan again - I retired due to not having the bottle to cross a stream.

Glad it's not just me that chickens out of crossing "Streams"! I did a 2.5kms detour at the Classic, taking over 30 minutes. My class leader did the whole course in 43!!
Mind you the planner informed me they were only shin high and had a solid gravel bottom. When I arrived they were ranging torrents and you couldn't see the bottom. People were going in above their waists though

That's the one. I believe that there was a notice at the control before the burn advising people to find a bridge, but I never saw it.
