Cambridge City Race entry

Brilliant event, thankyou Ben and team! Tantalising glimpses of Cambridge architecture, tricky alleyways, wandering tourists, multiple route choices, bowler hatted porters, fiendish switchbacks - loved it.

Next day I applied the same chicanery in the Compass Sport Cup and ended up following the wrong ride and searching for a clearing in an area completely devoid of orienteers, then compounded the error by revisiting number 6 instead of heading for number 9.

As you all have prior area knowledge

Not that it helped me a huge amount - I'd never been on the route between 3 and 4 before (well apart from mis-spending my youth throwing a canoe polo ball over both of those bridges - same route between 3 and 4 for most courses I think), and whilst I often went between 4 and 5, I was picking the optimum route for cycling!

I wondered what on earth could have happened to you on sunday Wendles as I could not believe you had taken even longer than me when I had spent a full ten minutes in the wrong block of forest looking for a control Oxford here we come

AR is our house on the Wyche Ridge map? I'm sure our little orchard is.

I'm afraid not. Unless your orchard is on the other side of the track above your house neither is that. Though I think it's your fence that is mapped, and if I put a control on the end of that your house would presumably be nominally in the control circle
