Just to say thank you to DEE for a well-organised Chester City Race - well worth travelling to! When I first saw the course parameters (5km, 13 controls) I worried about how they could fit in the control picking/intricate bits, but the long route choice legs made for a slightly different challenge to the usual urban racing, and the event was very enjoyable.
RouteGadget is up on DEE's website for those who didn't make it.
Looking at the men's course, it would have been nice if the planners could have avoided the two controls of dead running south of the river and perhaps included a few more legs in the NE corner of the map to make up the distance instead, but other than that, a well organised event in an interesting city - thanks!

I would echo that statement, but it was a small gripe, as the rest of the race was excellent and we had a great club outing to boot!

I agree, an excellent and enjoyable course. Womens course was set as 5k but ran at about 7.5k. I was a bit apprehensive about the distance but it didn't feel long when you ran it. Great views along the city walls and a brilliant whistle stop tour of such a compact city.
Congrats to all involved and I hope it will be a regular venue on the calender.
