BAMM
No, not the ned down the road up to no good, but the Björkliden Arctic Mountain Marathon, taking place in the far north of Sweden this weekend, arranged by the most northerly o-club in Sweden, IFK Kiruna. A few Brits taking part again this year and from the report in the local paper, http://www.kuriren.nu/sport/artikel.aspx?articleid=5022901 it seems that they're showing a clean set of heals to the opposition. In the longest, 70km class, Andy Symonds and Jethro Lennox won the 3000 SEK prize for first team to the hill-top first control and were well in the lead at the half-way night camp. In the 50km class, Nick Barrable and Ady Whitwam were leading the way from the start. Weather conditions have been very changeable in the last week so hopefully they remain stable for the remainder of the race.
