strange things happening in the forum

Okay - this has happened twice now to my knowledge. someone posts a reply and is listed in the front page as having replied but when you go to the thread their reply isn't there - BUT - if you go to reply yourself you can read their post below the reply box. Get me?

It happened a few weeks ago with a post Mharky made which I only spotted because I replied myself (and asked where it had gone) and now it's happened again on the summer travels page. Yesterday i saw Rav had posted something about the world Masters so I thought I'd read it but it wasn't there. Remembering what had happened before I went as if to reply and it's there beneath spooksters response. Is there a black hole somehere sucking in selective posts? What is going on

...and yes I could have/should have put this in technical support - but not even i read those

Both of the times it has happened it's involved the fifteenth post on a thread somehow disappearing between pages. It's possible to read them by tweaking the "start" parameter - ie. like this.

I assume you are talking about legitimate posts, not the rude or offensive ones which get deleted by the moderators?

The only posts I have witnessed disappearing are those falling into the downright rude category (and not this week either). Neither of which I believe comprise your specific examples above.

As for Mharky - it's a breath of fresh air to have someone say what many people are thinking without erm... thinking about it. I just wish I was reading Nope at the time of the 'very skinny' thread cos I wudda backed him up. In fact... I may still.
